Sayap Africa Gives Orphans, the Blind and Deaf a Christmas to Remember
Sayap Africa Gives Orphans, the Blind and Deaf a Christmas to Remember
Tues March 16th 2021
For Christmas in 2020, Sayap Africa and their volunteers decided to surprise more than 300 blinds, deafs and mute students in Cameroon with holiday snacks. While working with the heads of the schools, Sayap Africa also reached out to several orphanages and learned of a desperate need for new mattresses for these orphans. Working with our donors and local volunteers, we were able to purchase and deliver holiday packages as well as the new mattresses in December and January. The children were delighted by these holiday surprises. Sayap Africa thanks all those who helped make this happen.
Delivering White Canes and Braille Materials
Continuing our strategy of raising and quickly deploying resources to these communities, we are working with the heads of these schools and orphanages to organize our next gifts to these children.
We have learned that these children with special needs are lacking important educational materials, like braille texts or tablets with braille keyboards. There is also a need for more white canes for training and helping these children move around. Sayap Africa is looking for donations and partners to deliver white canes and braille materials to these children. As we continue to spread the word of our achievements, Sayap Africa hopes that more people will recognize the importance and
success of our mission and join us to achieve our goals of improving and assisting African communities directly and efficiently through your generous donations. Those interested in supporting Sayap Africa in achieving its vision can make a tax-deductible donation today at sayapafrica.org.
