The STEAM program, more familiarly known as STEM, is an educational approach that focuses on the subject matters of science, technology, engineering, the Arts, and mathematics. Sayap Africa plans on creating tech hubs for girls in Africa who are typically left out of male-dominated spaces which keeps them at a high level of dependency.

The digital age is bringing on new technologies that are transforming the future of work which is demographically made up of millennials and Gen Z. In order to succeed in training the STEAM workforce of the future, schools, universities, and organizations must emphasize the process of “doing”, encourage collaboration and interdisciplinary problem-solving, and support risk-taking – as it is these qualities combined with STEAM skills that will be at the core of the innovators of tomorrow.

Sayap Africa is requesting that generous donors provide sponsorships, partnerships in the Silicon Valley where its headquarters are located, and laptops for every girl in Africa. The organization is also raising funds that would go towards the program and give girls the ability to develop IT, engineering, and mathematics skills that in hopes will advance African nations to usher into a new era of “rebirth”. Those interested in giving to bring about this program can make a tax-deductible donation to sayapafrica.org/donate

The non-profit organization seeks to initiate this proposition sometime later this year once the funds and resources are met.
